Changing our Future 2010
The 2010 Pasifika Medical Association Conference Changing our Future, attracted up to 300 delegates from around New Zealand and across the South Pacific region
This years conference also hosted a Regional Pacific Paediatrics meeting and launched PMA's first publication, Navigators.
The themes for this year’s conference included “Meeting the Challenges of a Changing Workforce”, “Disasters – Our Stories, Our Experiences” and “Evidence based Policy and Decision making”.
The aim of these themes were to provide an opportunity for participants to share their knowledge, to learn from each other’s experiences, to strengthen clinical networks in the region and to examine the important issues that we as Pacific health professionals feel are relevant to our communities.
